Homemade Maple Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer

Fall coffee at home just got a little better. 🍂☕️

This homemade Maple Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer is creamy, lightly sweet, full of warm fall spices, and made with simple ingredients you probably already recognize. It’s the kind of little seasonal ritual that makes an ordinary morning feel a little cozier.

And of course, we had to use a couple of our Mercantile favorites in this one.

Maple Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer

You’ll need:

  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 1 cup heavy cream, or coconut cream for dairy-free
  • 3 tablespoons pumpkin purée
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2–3 tablespoons maple syrup or honey, optional, for natural sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the maple syrup, we used Rye-Barrel Aged Maple Syrup from Finding Home Farms, one of the pantry goods we carry right here at Prairie Coast. The rye-barrel aging gives the maple syrup such a warm, rich flavor that works beautifully with pumpkin and fall spices.

To Make

  1. In a small saucepan, whisk together the milk, cream, pumpkin purée, pumpkin pie spice, and cinnamon.
  2. Warm over medium heat for about 5 minutes, whisking occasionally. Don’t let it boil.
  3. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla and maple syrup or honey, if using.
  4. Optional: Strain the creamer before pouring it into your jar or bottle. I strained mine because I prefer a smoother creamer without as much cinnamon or pumpkin purée texture in my coffee. You definitely don’t have to, but if you’re not a fan of a lot of texture in your coffee, I’d recommend this step.
  5. Let the creamer cool, then pour it into a jar or bottle and store it in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  6. Shake before each use and add a splash to your coffee.

We poured ours into a cup of Ozark Mountain Coffee Co. Porchview Blend, another favorite you can find both in store and online at Prairie Coast Mercantile.
